CAN/ULC-S524

The Canadian standard for the **installation** of fire alarm systems. Covers designing and installing systems with or without voice communication, and applies to voluntary installations as well as code-required ones.

Current published edition: CAN/ULC 524:2024, the 8th edition, published December 2024. Ontario's Fire Code adopts the 2019 edition, cited at Articles 6.3.1.8. and 9.9.4.12.(1).
